The new Pen Type-A that is made in the USA is ready for new doodlers !

This pen is meant to last for a very very long time. The idea of us cluttering your lives with extra junk you don’t love makes our stomachs turn. Please, get this only if you love it, or know someone who will. It will last longer than you will (of course with replacement cartridges), so be prepared to pass it down for generations.

This is not an impulse buy. It’s a serious one. Serious but with a smile.

Pen Type-A comes with a lifetime guarantee. So if there is ever something wrong with it that is a result of some manufacturing defect, please let us know and we will repair or replace it.

What’s new with Pen Type-A?

Over the past few months, we have been working closely with our new manufacturers in Vermont. Let’s just say that for a pen, it is over-engineered to crazy town. Our new fabrication process requires some of the most hi-tech manufacturing equipment we’ve ever seen.  It is mind-blowing to see machinists at work with these tools. Operating them is an art in itself. And the pride they take in every step of the process is inspiring.

The new version of Pen Type-A has some pretty cool modifications and improvements. Changes include a locking gasket in the base of the sleeve so that the pen doesn’t fall out when turned upside-down. The ruler sleeve now has a matte glass bead blasted finish. There is also a flexible rubber pocket at the base of the sleeve to hug the tip when the pen is not in use so the ink doesn’t clog up.

One of the most incredible parts of this project for us has been the overwhelming influx drawings submitted by kickstarter backers, done with the original Pen Type-A.
