HTML5: Your Resources and Tools
This month’s newsletter focuses on resources and tools that support the transition to HTML5. With browsers changing their support of Flash, HTML5 is becoming the de facto format for rich media display ads. We want to make sure everyone has the tools they need to successfully build in HTML5.
Product Updates to Know
Embracing HTML5 in DoubleClick Campaign Manager and DoubleClick Bid Manager
We’ve updated DoubleClick Campaign Manager and DoubleClick Bid Manager to ensure that HTML5 ads can run smoothly in campaigns. Enhanced Formats are now available for all users, providing larger file sizes and polite load functionality for HTML5 ads. In DoubleClick Bid Manager, the system will automatically pause bids for Flash creatives on Chrome.
First responsive design features now available in Google Web Designer
You can now build ads that will automatically resize to the screen dimensions they show up on. We’ve also added support for AdMob, and we’ve launched new templates, events, and components to help users quickly get started on a new project.

- Step-by-step tutorial for creative developers to learn how to build HTML5 ads, and a new HTML5 Toolkit that aggregates all the tools and tips in one place.
- Google Web Designer certification exam, so you can test your knowledge and prove your expertise in the product, plus a new Google Web Designer landing page that explains how to use custom components and templates.
