Yes, every item in the Woodies Collection really is built from the button up — a wooden button, specifically. Our designers start with this small-but-significant detail and go from there.

Speaking of button-ups, we’re releasing five fantastic new Woodies Shirts today: Point Reyes, Topanga, La Jolla, Pismo, and Pacifica. They all feature fine fabrics, distinctive stitching details, and those signature wooden buttons.

Each product gallery was shot by a different photographer, in a different Bay Area setting, and we think the results are fairly wonderful. Click on the images below to peruse ’em all.

Apologies to MBAs, JDs, MFAs, etc.: Our new Women’s Spring Collection has received an avalanche of press lately (from Buzzfeed, Jezebel, Ad Week, and the Huffington Post, for starters), casting the spotlight squarely on PhDs and doctoral candidates.

Will we need models with other degrees in the future? Perhaps! Meanwhile, women of all educational backgrounds are hereby invited to shop liberally.

Researcher Discovers Gay Jeans

Steven B. Wheeler (he of Space Jacket acclaim) is more than a fashion designer — he’s also a researcher in the exciting field of jeanetics. His latest breakthrough: the discovery of Gay Jeans. Steven’s findings await peer review in our Think Tank.
