Easy Outdoor Mode (guided or freestyle)
Easy Outdoor Mode (with guides) is as simple as following a dotted line path. You can also ignore the guide and it’ll go away, leaving you in control.
Sphere v3.5 brought this reinvented mode to iPhones, while version 3.5.1 (released today) extends this capability to newer iPads* as well.
*This tech requires the latest iPad hardware to run. We support the 4th gen. iPad, iPad Mini with Retina Display, and iPad Air.

Pro Mode (for use anywhere)
Pro Mode is all–new too. Turn your iPhone or iPad sideways (landscape) from the recording screen to enable it. Then just align the rings. This is the ideal mode if a quality sphere is your top priority.
Version 3.5 reintroduced this mode for iPhones, and today’s release adds support for new iPads.*

Private and Unlisted Spheres
Sometimes a great sphere doesn’t require a large audience. With version 3.5.1, every sphere you record remains private until you choose to publish it online (as either “public” or “unlisted”).
Not yet acquainted with theSphere.com’s content manager? Now’s a great time as we’ve just added “unlisted” publishing to this system too.

Version 3.5 also includes the following features: • Search by title, description and sphere ID # • Slide thumbnails over to reveal extra controls • Upload, record or use a Galileo from one menu
While version 3.5.1 adds these key refinements: • A patch to fix sphere links shared via Twitter • Stability improvements when saving to devices • Filters to help you only upload panos or spheres
Plus, theSphere.com has been bolstered with: • Improvements to our content manager • A setting to remove the “More” tab from embeds • A tool to set each sphere’s initial orientation

Love It? Hate It?
“This application is epic.” – Vadim Belyaev, Russia
This has been a crazy week for Sphere. Since being featured on the front of the App Store, we’ve seen 250,000 downloads in 7 days. We’ve received a ton of great feedback and have been working as fast as possible to add the most requested feature; iPad recording. Today, just a week later, we’ve announced the new addition.
“I absolutely love this app.” — wibbs404, United Kingdom
So if you have suggestions, please email us. We’ll definitely listen. And if you love the app, please review Sphere in the App Store. To those of you who already have, “thank you!” Your praise keeps us going.
“Extraordinary!” — nikis, Italy
