Speaking of new life, our daughter Morgan Elysia was born on the 14th August, weighing in at a petite 3kgs (6 lb 6 oz).
The birth went well and I have recovered quickly thanks in part to the Verite Spa Nourishing Belly Balm I was using throughout my pregnancy (only 5 little stretch marks and they are possibly the same little 5 from my first pregnancy).

Now I’m back to breastfeeding on demand at all hours, unfortunately the preggy-brain hasn’t quite lifted yet so things like the Little Peanuts breast-feeding reminder tags are very handy, not to mention the funky burp cloths from Little Peanuts and GenieBean to catch those spills.

Mia is doing really well with her new sister. She just wants to hug and kiss her! Mia has also been making lots of progress in toilet training – she has been using the potty for a while but now prefers the toilet. Even though the weather is still cold, I have found it much easier for her to wear a dress and leggings rather than pants for quick toileting. This gorgeous winter weight pinafore from RubyLou is a stunning colour and is perfect for the job.
Even though winter is on the retreat, it’s still a little chilly out there for the little ones so make sure you’re stocked up on things like beanies, available in both wool and cotton. It is nice to get out and about though now that the weather is clearing up.

Mia has had a very chesty cough for the past week so we have been using Chest Rub from Verite Spa to help her breathe easier. Luckily little Morgan still has plenty of newborn immunities to keep her safe. Saying that, Morgan is suffering from a little bit of nappy rash (poor thing) so we have been using the Bum Bum Balm on her. It’s a soft cream which seems to give her skin relief straight away. It is much harder to find the time to give Morgan nappy free time when I have a toddler running about!
We think Mia’s cough is because she has started teething again.
