Massive Accounting Infrastructure Overhaul Complete
For a little over a year our dev team has been hard at work overhauling the core accounting system that runs the Envato Marketplaces. Thanks to our fast company growth over the last few years, the original accounting system was starting to push the edge of its capabilities. So beginning all the way back in March last year we’ve been rebuilding, from the ground up, our accounts system. It’s been deployed in stages over the last nine months, and we’re happy to announce that as of last week the new system is now completely operational!
Of course, for our users the change will have been completely invisible (because the dev team did such a good job!) but we thought we’d mention it so you know that you can put even more trust in our marketplaces, and so we can give a shout out to Ryan, Clinton and Pete for all their hard work this last year on what has been easily the biggest project of our little company’s history!

Community News
The Chicago Envato Community meet-up is getting closer. At this point we’re still looking for feedback on what people want while they’re there and on how many people are coming. If anyone wants to come and can be in the Chicago area on the 8th of September, please vote in our poll and comment in this thread. We’ll be making an announcement soon, so make sure to have your say!
