· MapThemes
More formatting options was one of the most requestedfeatures in our recent user survey. We’ve now added the ability to changebackground colors and images, add borders and choose line styles. Allthis can also be done easily by assigning one of our 12 predefined mapthemes – which of course can also be customized to your taste! Learn more
· UsageStats and Activity Reports
Administrators of Business and Academic accounts can findthe new reporting features under the ‘My Team’ tab. This provides abirdseye overview of team activity, including who’s logged in, mostactive users, and number of maps per user. Learn more
· AutomaticBackups
Also for our team edition users, we now provide the optionto backup all mind maps of all team members to a configurable externallocation. Administrators may specify any SSH FTP server and determine howoften, and in which format backups should take place. Learn more
· CustomizableSidebar
Using MindMeister on a small screen? We discovered thatmany of our notebook users were doing a lot of widget opening &closing, only to access various functions in the sidebar. To avoid thisyou can now rearrange all sidebar widgets as desired using simple drag& drop (IE currently not supported). Learn more
· NewUser Interface
Finally, we’ve updated the MindMeister user interface witha fresh new look. We strived for a more streamlined, clean andbusiness-like design, reduced some of the pink and paved the way forupcoming features – think folders, more branding and integration – andwe’re pretty happy with the result. Dutch,Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian Language Support
Native speakers ofDutch, (Brazilian) Portuguese and Russian will feel more at home withMindMeister, as these additional languages are now supported.
This bringsMindMeister’s total of supported languages to 9, and we now cover 85% of our usersin their native tongue. In addition to English and thethree newest additions, MindMeister is also available in German, Japanese,Spanish, French, and Danish.
As with all of ourlanguage support, we’ve checked and re-checked the text, but if you are anative speaker of any of our supported languages, and spot an error, pleaselet us know.
MindMeisterNow Available in The Google Apps Marketplace
 As announced in our last newsletter, MindMeister was one ofthe launch partners of the new Google Apps Marketplace.Administrators of Google Apps accounts can add the MindMeister serviceinstantly by clicking the button on the right.
At launch, the optionto convert existing accounts to Google Apps accounts was only available toBusiness or Academic account holders. Responding to a flood of enquiriesfrom our users we’ve now enabled supportalso for Premium accounts.
