2009 Splendid Artist Lachlan Tetlow-Stuart has been commissioned to present A Someone Else’s Problem Field as part of Next Wave Time Lapse at Federation Square, Melbourne. Next Wave Time Lapse is a year-long program of new screen-based work by young and emerging artists presented every Thursday night (5:30 – 6:30pm) on Federation Square’s Big Screen.
A Someone Else’s Problem Field is a site-specific work that employs Augmented Reality. Appearing at first to be a simple live-feed from Federation Square to the Big Screen, audiences will be disturbed and delighted as subtle interventions slowly become apparent, and distinctions between reality and fiction become blurred.
Lachlan’s work will be viewable on Thursday 3 December, Thursday 10 December, Friday 18 December, Thursday 24 December and Thursday 31 December 2009, 5:30 – 6:30pm.
